News From Pedro is Like Pizza With Mushrooms. Think About THAT, Dawgs.

Prolific producer Pedro’s newest drama, Beyond Redemption, opens in theatres on Friday and is currently in buzz voting.

Following soon after on May 29th, Pedro has another drama coming out, The Tortilla Curtain. Pedro is hoping that it will come to release this time because of a snafu when earlier scheduled. He is also hoping that relative newcomer, Kristin Herrera, will be nominated for an award for her role as America. The film was held off last month because director Woody Allen allegedly got a little drunk and some of the film he edited was destroyed. Some reshoots were required to return lost scenes.

Pedro’s Baseball Mogul Productions is in discussions with Four Top Studios concerning the promised release of two films, 90210 and It’s Always Sunny in Philadephia.

“They were on the schedule for June and July respectively, but have been pulled” stated a BM rep. “We just need to know why.”

Comic Adaptation in the Works for HTG Studio

With the purchase made for comic book franchise Swamp Thing, Lucian of Ship of Fooles is eager to get rolling on the project. Ideas are already flowing through the creative producer’s head, including appearances of many DC characters such as Firestorm, The Atom and other Justice League members… topping off with the cream of JLA associates, Superman himself. The film is still in the early stage of pre-production, so much so that Lucian isn’t sure if the movie will be animated or not. With the inclusion of properties owned by the Flip Brothers, it’s still being decided if the movie will open through SoF or FB. One thing has been settled, however. The story concept will be based on the work of Frank Miller.

“Man, I hope there’s a gal in this like Adrienne Barbeau was in the Swamp Thing movie years ago,” commented a happy movie viewer. “Jessica Biel? Scarlett Johannson? You know that would make the movie great.”

An estimated time for the movie release has not been made.

Novel Needs Plucky Producer

Ship of Fooles Studio is seeking a producer to adapt a movie from the novel Salem’s Lot. The Stephen King novel centers on a writer who returns to his hometown to find it infested by vampires. One of King’s most appreciated works, it has already seen big screen and small screen adaptations. Will an HTG producer be able to bring something new to the work? SoF head Lucian is willing to put out 60% of the film’s profits to find out.

Interested producers may see Lucian’s original call here.

This One’s For the Canadian Readers, Eh

Although Golden Yoda winning actor/director Tim Robbins has not appeared in an HTG film since 2006, fans of the star are hoping that recent pictures indicate that he is preparing for a new role. One excited movie fan did his best to explain.

“You know that Chris Harmer movie? The one where he’s a secret agent or something? And people are trying to guess who the main villain will be? Well, it’s Tim Robbins. He’s going to be either the son of or a clone of Harland Sanders. Yup, the Colonel himself, the guy behind those 11 secret herbs and spices. No, he won’t be drumsticking Harmer to death. He’s got uber hockey skillz! He’ll be firing pucks at Harmer full of explosives and such. It’ll be so cool, I can hardly wait!”

Miracle Pictures chief Marlowe, however, continues to deny these rumors.

“Really, we haven’t got that far into casting. When we do, we’ll make the announcement. We at the studio appreciate the eagerness for Chris Harmer: International Man of Intrigue and Adventure: The Prometheus Stone, but all of the speculation isn’t going to help anyone. Thanks.”

The Chris Harmer movie is still in pre-production and, as per studio policy, does not have a release date yet.

That’s a Lot of Red. There’s So Much Red There That I’m Thinking About Eating a Bag of Those Spicy Doritos. Yum, Good Snackin’.

When you think superheroes, it’s easy to think of Flip Brothers Studio. With many of the super franchises in its vast inventory, it was inevitable that The Flash would find its way to the silver screen under the guidance of the Flips. A release date has been set. But… who will be potraying Scarlet Speedster? Calls to the Flips or the producer at Raptor Inc. were not returned.

“Maybe they have someone chosen,” surmissed a movie fan. “Maybe they don’t. Either way, you know that they’re going to do this one big. I can hardly wait!”

Happening will keep an eye on this film project as it develops.

If They Have Jesus Juice at the Concession Stand, I Am There!

Rumors continue to travel across the city about the lead villain in Miracle Picture’s upcoming action film Chris Harmer: International Man of Intrigue and Adventure: The Prometheus Stone. According to photos given to this reporter, pop singer Michael Jackson is being considered for the role of Harmer’s adversary, a martial artist bent on world domination.

“Again, I can’t stress how wrong this is” remarked a rep from the studio. “Just because we’ve discussed certain matters with certain somebodys, that doesn’t mean that they’re going to be in the Chris Harmer film. Really, when that portion of the production comes, we’ll let you know.”

Just a couple days ago, speculations concerning Paris Hilton playing a villain with a deadly parrot were reported. MP denied those rumors as well.

“It’s the excitement about a movie that only Chris Harmer can provide” explained a movie goer at a local cinema. “Whatever he does makes news. Whatever he does sells news. You can’t blame people for wanting to know what’s going on.”

Chris Harmer: International Man of Intrigue and Adventure: The Prometheus Stone does not have a release date as of yet.

Birds of a Feather Give STDs Together

In what many consider to be a surprise move, a rumor is floating across HTG Hollywood that Miracle Pictures has found “the perfect villain” for its upcoming action picture, Chris Harmer: International Man of Intrigue and Adventure: The Prometheus Stone. It’s not surprising that a talent has been found, but who was found.

“I heard that they’ve hired Paris Hilton” claimed a movie insider this morning over a latte. “Hilton’s supposed to be some sort of dark agent who has trained her parrot to claw people to death. I’ve seen test shots, so it must be true.”

“Hogwash” retorted an Miracle Pictures Studio insider this afternoon. “Although I am sure that Paris Hilton would do almost anything to end her dry spell here in HTG, we haven’t been in contact with her concerning the Harmer movie that’s in pre-production. It sounds as if Hilton’s people are just trying to keep her in the spotlight. When casting for the movie is underway, we’ll let everyone know.”

Representatives of the heiress did not return queries concerning this story. Miss Hilton is reported to be in Mexico this week.
