Christina Applegete impressed her producer so much during her work on the film Amateurfall that she’s inked a deal to star in a short mockumentary. Christina is the only female character in the testosterone-filled baseball comedy, playing Jason Lee’s love interest. But TLM Head Goose liked her performance so much that he immediately offered her the title role as Candace Kane in The Kane Files: 10 Digits.
“I’m very excited to be working soon after a project. Usually it takes a while before another role comes along,” Applegate said.
Others signed on to the short are Rosalyn Sanchez, Benjamin Bratt, Kirstie Ally and Lindsay Lohan. It is scheduled for release on August 7.
“We’re hoping to make this a series of short mockumentaries under the Kane Files brand” Goose added.
Meanwhile, Goose has been busy. Pest & Andy Go To Summer Camp has just left theaters, while he has back to back releases in July. Brothers opens July 12 with Bulletproof/Avatar Studios and AmateurBall opens July 19 with Lake Hope Features.
