Actress Injures Ankle, Carries On With Work
Emily Blunt obtained a minor injury on the set of the upcoming Our Mutual Friend: Part 3 when the actress took a bad step off of a curb. A source on the set of the new Baseball Mogul Productions film explained that Blunt, who returns as Lizzie Hexam in the third film of the series, unexpectedly twisted her ankle when she did not place her foot properly on the asphalt. Blunt was treated for her injury at a nearby medical facility and released. Although her ankle is tender, the source insists that she is fine and production has resumed.
“Emily feels rather embarrassed about the who matter” the insider informed us. “But she’s a trooper and is venturing on. She’s just a bit more careful about how she hops onto the street now. And the camera crew is making sure that filming doesn’ t show the bandage around her tender ankle.”
Our Mutual Friend: Part 3, directed by Stephen Frears, will open on June 12.
