Just a Picture of the Mayor. Nothing Deep, But We at Happ Know What You Want. Like Bacon On Your Cheeseburger. Mmm, Bacon.

“Emily feels rather embarrassed about the who matter” the insider informed us. “But she’s a trooper and is venturing on. She’s just a bit more careful about how she hops onto the street now. And the camera crew is making sure that filming doesn’ t show the bandage around her tender ankle.”
Our Mutual Friend: Part 3, directed by Stephen Frears, will open on June 12.

Marking Halloween weekend for its release, movie fright legend A Nightmare on Elm Street will get a makeover and premiere on October 30th. After looking at numerous actors to take on the iconic role of Freddy Krueger, Costa’s Legacy Filmworks and Ship of Fooles Studio have agreed on Crispin Glover. Creepy in his own way, the two organizations felt that he would be perfect for the role. As for the director, Lucian wants Wes Craven back. However, Costa is pushing for Sam Raimi (who helmed the recently released Drag Me to Hell).
The script is near completion, according to Costa, and shooting is schedualed to start in the coming weeks. The beginning of the film reportedly shows an extensive prologue before Freddy is burned and becomes who he is known to be in the Nightmare franchise. There is a very controversial scene where Freddy rapes a little girl. Insiders explain that we thankfully won’t see everything, but just enough to merit the controversy. The story after the introduction will follow the sons and daughters of the parents in the begining of the film as they are visited by Freddy in their dreams.
The film will have refrences to the original, but will not follow the plot. The character of Nancy Thompson is not coming back and neither is the character played by Johnny Depp. This version is modernized and will have its own story that the insider claims will scare the hell out of audiences.
“Man, I will so be there when this opens!” exclaimed a movie goer at a local cinema. “Freddy’s that one horror image that really gets to me. I can hardly wait!”
Next week, as the HTG TV session enters week six, one show’s future is in question. I Don’t Care, the last minute situational comedy from producer Phaethon0017, will enter into its one hour season finale.
“I started the show rough. I had pitched it last minute and it was picked up by DRTV just as quickly as I’d come up with it. The pilot was a bit short as the page limit forced me to cut it in half. As the show went on I was able to develop it and come up with something I enjoyed writing. As of now, I’m not entirely sure what the fate of the series will be, but season 1 was good fun.”
As I Don’t Care makes its finale debut, let’s remember some of our favorite moments from the series…aww I don’t care.

An injury to Neil Patrick Harris has delayed filming of the upcoming Jay Roach comedy “Amateurball”. TLM head Goose arrived on the set to find Harris being carted off in an ambulance.
“Apparently Neil collided with Nathan Fillion while filming a scene and twisted his right knee,” Goose reported. “He said he felt a loud POP and was worried that he’d torn something. So a trip to the E.R. was in order.”
“It all works out when he gets back” Roach added. “Neil’s character has a bad knee to begin with.”
Doctors found no structural damage, calling it a sprain. But it means Harris won’t be available for a few days, forcing Roach to film around him. Goose has now ordered that medical personel be on set as a precaution against any further injuries, and Amatuerball’s release has been moved from June 5 to June 19. Goose’s current film, Pest & Andy Go To Summer Camp, is still in theaters.

Studios have reasons to rejoice — millions of them. Payments for three weeks of box office receipts have been made, giving just over $814 million combined to eight studios. Receiving the largest share is rapid-release arthouse studio Lake Hope Features, getting $255,163,412 for six movies.
“I think that Quantum’s grabbing of many films has paid off” stated a movie insider. “Every little bit helps. Quantum’s been able to manage those little bits into a small fortune.”
Also surpassing the 200 mil mark is Ship of Fooles, receiving $207,391,070 for its own 6 films.
The biggest success of the three weeks is not a studio, but a producer. Films by Pedro of Baseball Mogul Productions garnered more than $280 million in that period. The back-to-back successful weeks of No Way to Treat a First Lady through Bulletproof/Avatar grabbed $101 mil by itself.
With summer movie season now upon us, box office totals will certainly grow. What will studios do with the increase in cash?
“Well, they have producers to pay, plus the costs of making the films” explained the insider. “Then there’s upkeep and further expansion of the studio properties. No matter how much cash comes in, there’s always a ton going out. That’s the nature of the business.”

With a pair of HTG movies out in theatres, Phaethon0017 is looking to the future. One of several projects that the eager producer has in mind is Plants vs. Zombies, a film combining the video game with comic actor Larry the Cable Guy. Having released and co-produced Larry’s hit movie An Adventure With Larry and Jon, it seemed natural for Miracle Pictures to snatch the new film.
“I’ve always been a fan of Larry the Cable Guy” stated MP’s Marlowe. “He’s had some misses, but I get a giggle out of his performances. I’m very eager to see what Phae has cooked up for this.”
Phaethon and the others at Tour Films are keeping tight lipped about the upcoming feature, although a cast list has been promised for the near future. A late June release date is being considered.

Esteemed ex-mayor Chris Harmer’s birthday marked a gala like none other in HTG Hollywood. A party was thrown in his honor, with the guest list as exclusive as the contestants for wet T-shirt night at Club Siberia. We at Happening did our best to become a part of the festivities, but were denied access. This was disappointing, because we have always been a Harmer supporter at this news source. Who was the former city leader cuddling up to? What sort of gifts were presented? We don’t know. Even a reporter sent in disguise was unable to get too far into the party room.
So, instead of a report on the party, we’re publishing a classic Harmer comic. We’re still looking for reports of what happened at the event. If anyone knows anything or even has a picture, please inform this news office.
Anyway, happy birthday, Mr. Harmer.
