Q Interviews John Cho. Was He Harold or Was He Kumar? I Get Mixed Up Sometimes. I Remember He Had a Big Role in the Hit Comedy Cruisified. Was That a Self Plug? Of Course It Was. That’s How We Roll Around Here Sometimes. Werd.

HTG Hollywood hotshot Quantum
John Cho, star of the new HTG series “You, Me, & That Guy” and the new movie “My Name is Bob” sat down with producer/studio mogul Quantum to discuss his thoughts on the two projects at hand.
Quantum: So, John, tell me how you got involved with You, Me, & That Guy?
John: My agent sent me a comedy script. I wasn’t sure what to think of it at first, but once I began to read it, I know this was a gem in the rough. So I signed on to the project. I had done a sitcom in the past, but before it could gain any momentum, viewership wise, it was canceled.
Quantum: Can you tell me about your character?
John: Yeah, well, I play Jackson Rivers, who is a roommate to Gil (Jon Dore), Rocky (Dominic Monaghan), and Bud (James Roday). He’s an idiot, to say the least, and horny nonetheless.
Quantum: What drew you to the part?
John: He’s involved in a lot of funny shit. Just in the pilot episode he gets involved in a “prank” of some sort. It’s just stuff like that which gets me drawn to these type of projects.
Quantum: You’re also a star of a new movie. What’s it called?
John: It’s called My Name Is Bob. I play a chef who befriends the lead character Bob (Keenan Ivory Wayans).
Quantum: Can you tell us a little bit about the movie?
John: Well, it’s directed by Steve Rash, who’s done a lot of films ranging from Queen’s Logic with Kevin Bacon to American Pie Presents Band Camp. The film is about a man, Pete, aka Bob, who loses his memory and kinda goes on a quest to find himself. On this “quest” he gets a job working at a restaurant, the same one my character works at, and it kinda goes off from there. I’d tell you more, but I don’t want to spoil it. L et’s just say there is a lot of comedy and a lot of action.
Quantum: Anything else?
John: Oh! Kal Penn and I reunite in this film for the first time since the Harold and Kumar films. And Lou Fergino plays a pivotal role.
Quantum: Interesting… well, thanks for your time, Mr. Cho.
John: Thank you for giving me those jobs.
Quantum: (Laughs) No problem.
You, Me, & That Guy, produced by Quantum, premieres this Wednesday at 7:30 on DRTV.
My Name is Bob, from Tuckerjoe’s Living Color Productions, opens limited this Friday.
