It’s been four years since actress/comic Margaret Cho has appeared in an HTG project. She’s slated for one of the top roles in the upcoming My Name is Bob. What made producer Tuckerjoe pick her for his first film?

“A lot of the movie it takes place in a restaurant,” Tuckerjoe explained. “Margaret Cho is this girl Linda that works at a restaurant owned by her dad. Most of the people there are Asian. I’m not sure why I picked her, but she’s Asian and the right age, so I just went with it.”

Tuckerjoe also mentioned how excited he is to see his film in release.

“Man, I sure am glad that [Lake Hope Features chief] Quantum wanted to show it for me. I’m really nervous. I want people to like it. I’ve got another one that’s sort of a sequel. I have all sorts of ideas for the main character, Peter, played by Keenan Ivory Wayans. Sure, he’s called Bob in the story, but you’ll see why that is.”

My Name is Bob, a Living Color Productions movie released by LHF, opens on May 1st.
