Our Own Kid Talks About The Kid 2 and Some Other Kid Like Stuff

Hi, it’s me, Wrestleboy, your source for news from the squared circle and beyond.

You all know John Cena. He’s a hotshot WWE former champ. He’s going for the title again on Sunday night at WWE’s 25th Wrestlemania. Cool stuff. Will he make an appearance in TCW, our very own wrestling franchise here in HTG? Beats me. I hear yes, I hear no. I guess when it happens, it happens.

But you can’t miss what’s going on at the Coliseum Hall. John Cena’s having his very own concert! How cool is that? Lucian Carter wrote some songs for the part-time rapper/actor. I’m really psyched! Cena’s also going to be in The Kid 2: The Rise, opening this upcoming weekend. It’s the sequel to the surprisingly good The Kid (of course). I guess that makes this John Cena week. Woo hoo!

Did you notice that those TCW guys are asking for input on their wrestlers on the HTG message board? Viewer input’s cool. I can dig it. I can’t wait until they ask about BLZ Bubb. He threw his lunch at me the other day when I was poking around. I’m going to say he’s a grouch. When he gets a piledriver in some upcoming match, I’ll laugh. Laugh out loud.

Anyway, go to the coliseum to watch John Cena’s concert. It’ll be major cool. Thanks. See you all when I have some juicy wrasslin’ news.

Hit Horror Prepares Players for Session Start

“Ritchie Steven Presents… Horror Hour” is entering its 4th season. Lead by HTG’s Horror King Ryan Reynolds, each season gets an all new cast. Past seasons have included such talents as horror legends Tony Todd , Danny Trejo and Robert Englund, plus HTG beauties Shannyn Sossamon, Rachel McAdams, Summer Glau and Yvonne Strahovsky, and lesser known talents such as Eddie Steeples, Rider Strong, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Angela Bettis.

Season 3 of the show was a special adaptations themed season where writers took on such established universes as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the Zombie Survival Guide. This season returns to the original format with 6 all new original horror stories by 6 different producers. The only difference from the debut season is the show’s length. Due to a packed schedule, Horror Hour will be ½ an Hour with 1 new story per episode instead of blocks of two episodes.

Producers lined up in the new season include Marlowe, Quantum, PJFlip, and series creator Ritchie Steven.

Exclusive casting news: Gina Gershon joins the new session. She brings beauty and an edge to the show. Who will join her? The HTG community will help choose the rest of the cast! Right now on the message board is a poll where viewers are asked to find the new session’s “brute”.

Horror Hour will appear on Flip Brothers Television starting this April.

Poster Revealed for Upcoming Sci Fi Film

Classic science fiction returns to HTG this May with the help of Tour Films and But Alas Pictures. Collins’ Comet: Descent, according to co-producer Czartim… “It’s about a family of aliens that comes to Earth with the intention of destroying our infrastructure so that invasion will be easier.” And, according to CT, sequels are planned.

Tour and But Alas have tagged a number of talented individuals to bring the film to life. Robert Zemeckis is set to direct. Christian Slater, Amanda Seyfried, Rutger Hauer and Glenn Close have been signed to star. With the tagline of Manifest Destiny, the movie will hopefully bring a thrilling, engaging story to the big screen. With the success of Print, Czartim is going all out with Phaethon to make the follow-up even more so.

Collins’ Comet: Descent, a Checkmate Pictures release, arrives on Earth on May 15.

City Workers Stifle Personal Creativity With Grass, Bird Noise and Insect Bites

“I guess the experiment has ended.”

Such was a comment made in HTG Chat on Monday when citizens noticed that the Thunderdome, a brief installment on the HTG message board, was no longer present. And, on the main HTG Hollywood map, north of the Mega Mart, the domed structure was replaced with a peaceful medidation garden.

“We’re quite pleased how it turned out” a city worker stated after work on the new park was completed. “That Thunderdome was an eyesore. A canker on the HTG community. The tranquility provided by the land now will be quite the boon to residents of HTG Hollywood.”

With the Tdome down, where can the citizens express their ire now?

“They can keep it to themselves” explained the city worker. “We’re a community. We need to act like a community. If you need to hang a bag at home to punch, so be it. Just leave the vulgarities at home.”

Mayor Waiting For Film Roles

Occasionally this news source finds itself short on informative articles, but finds a need to publish something. When this occurs, a few things could happen. A cartoon could be posted. A piece on our beloved former city leader Chris Harmer could be printed. The more love for the Harmer the better, we say. Or, we are pleased to say, Happening can show a picture of Mayor Megan Fox.

Despite appearing in five films in 2008, Miss Fox has not been seen in a single movie for the first three months of 2009. (That’s as far as we know.) Sure, there are plans to use her, but come on! We’re three months into the new year!

“I think it’s gender bias” complained a fan of the mayor during a luncheon on Sunday. “Think about it. There are benefits galore in using Megan Fox in a film. Awards are plenty, plus there’s the big bonus just because she’s mayor. So where are all the roles? It’s guys like Will Ferrell, Zac Efron and Dev Patel getting all the juicy jobs. Sure, there’s that Shakespeare thing with all women, but that’s a rarity. We need more women in leading roles. And, if the movie’s to be a success, those leading roles need to be filled by Megan Fox.”

Although many producers and studio executives were on hand, none of them commented on the declaration.

“You got any more of them lil’ weiners in the spicy sauce?” is all one studio head offered.

“Just you wait” concluded the Fox Fan. “She’s going to be in movies and get such a high Talent Score that people will regret not hiring her when they could have. That’ll teach ‘em.”

UPDATE: It has been brought to our attention that the mayor had a small role in the Fat Party movie. Hardly a part worthy of her talent.

Concept Art for New Action Film Revealed

With the newly acquired property now safe at home, producer Kris Greet is anxious to get his adaptation of Tom Clancy’s HAWX under way. The film, according to KG, will be completely CGI with motion capture performances. HAWX, which stands for High Altitude Warfare, will follow Air Force Major Adam Crenshaw and his squadron. The movie is set in the near future when war is fought by PMCs (private military companies). The US Military is advising KG Productions, with research utilizing current and prototype jets.

Plans are to have Kevin Munroe (of TMNT movie fame) direct. The voice cast will include Christian Bale, John Travolta, Nicolas Cage, Colin Farell and Samuel L Jackson. No release date has been set yet for the busy producer.

Generations Creator Returns to Movie with Soap Theme

With a Shakespeare drama now in release, prolific producer Pedro of Baseball Mogul Productions has turned to a new genre for next weekend.

“My goal [with As the World Turns] is to try and get a character motivated parody out of the soap opera. I picked As the World Turns because it’s the soap I watch and I love the characters. It’s got some messed up comedy in it, too. I think some of the stories that soaps have going are so far out there, that they are easy to parody.”

With a large cast, Pedro made sure to bring in some of his personal favorites.

“My favorite character is Craig Montgomery [played by Bruce Campbell]. He gets away with everything because of how charming he is. He’s a great villainous character. I think Bruce fits the bill perfectly. I tried to get several actors from soap operas to be in the film, especially ones from ATWT, such as Julianne Moore , Kristanna Loken and Amanda Seyfried. Parker Posey will be used in a sequel.”

Included in the cast is Jeffrey Donovan, the star of Burn Notice, which also features Bruce Campbell. Pedro is hoping to repeat some of the Burn Notice chemistry on ATWT.

“It’s a great show. The two really work well together.”

As the World Turns is currently in buzz voting.

EIC Explains Slow News Weekend

With more than operating this news source on his plate, the third-person-speaking Marlowe insists that he has been busy.

“I worked on a lot of city updates yesterday” the game co-admin stated. “Some of the things are immediately evident, many are not. If a citizen is involved in certain activities, the update should be noticed.”

“I also had to make sure my next film got out all right” he added. “Uncle Artie’s True Tales of American History opened on Friday. I pride myself on getting films from Miracle Pictures off without any snags. Now I can focus on a few commitments that I have with television, opening in April. That’ll be fun. Oh, and more updates to Happening, of course.”

With no further hints on what the “unseen updates” dealt with, Marlowe concluded with “Watch Uncle Artie!”

Uncle Artie’s True Tales of American History, directed by Harold Ramis and starring Will Ferrell, is currently in theatres.

I Knew He Was a Player, But This Is Ridiculous. Kinda Like Those Hidden Fees That Cell Phone Companies Charge You. Werd On That.

He has been linked to numerous HTG Hollywood ladies… Mayor Megan Fox, Mandy Moore and most recently Paris Hilton, to name a few. But a recent allegation has raised the eyebrows of many in the city.

“Chris Harmer is the true father of Nadya Suleman’s octuplets. Chris Harmer is the Octodad.”

“That is proposterous” cried a rep from Heavy Metal Productions. “In no way is our beloved Chris associated with the Octomom. He has never met her. Who is making the accusation? Why? I can tell you why. It’s for fame and fortune. Anyone associated with Chris is a megasuccess. And he has the cash to provide a luxurious lifestyle. I’m surprised more paternity claims haven’t been made against Chris.”

The former mayor’s legal team is already hard at work to determine the source of the allegation.

“We’re going to nip this in the bud. There’s no way that we will allow our client to be badgered by Miss Suleman. Chris Harmer is his own man and will not be taken advantage of, I guarantee you.”

Novel Needs Plucky Producer

Ship of Fooles Studio is seeking a producer to adapt a movie from the novel Salem’s Lot. The Stephen King novel centers on a writer who returns to his hometown to find it infested by vampires. One of King’s most appreciated works, it has already seen big screen and small screen adaptations. Will an HTG producer be able to bring something new to the work? SoF head Lucian is willing to put out 60% of the film’s profits to find out.

Interested producers may see Lucian’s original call here.

I’d Hate to Be the Guy Who is Paying Extra Cash For the View In That Building

Fans of the Green Lantern television series on Flip Brothers TV were thrilled when a large billboard of Josh Duhamel was erected on Tuesday on the side of a local building. With Green Arrow now a regular character on the show, Nathan Fillion’s Green Lantern will find ample help in defeating his foes through the six new episodes. Vanessa Marcil will return as Hal Jordan’s girlfriend.

“Man, this next TV session’s goin’ ta be off da hook!” yelled a happy viewer when he first saw the billboard.

HTG Television returns in April.

He Didn’t Mention Oregeno. I Think It Needs Oregeno. Maybe Some Basil. And Some Pepto for After.

As we have already seen today, you can never expect a lineup for HTG Television to be set in stone. Network heads continue to look for shows that will place their net at the top. Lucian Carter, chief of Rogue Net Television, is apparently considering a TV cooking show. But, unlike the successful Cooking With Cassy, the new show would highlight unusual dishes intended for a bachelor audience.

According to a viewer of the test show, the first recipe would be “frozen perogies with a jar of tomato sauce a few cut up hotdogs and some grated cheese on top, mixed in a casserole dish and baked.”

“That sounds bad, but in a good way,” remarked another viewer. “But you never know ’til you try it.”

Will the untitled cooking show make it to the small screen? April will have upfronts, buzzing and finally shows of the next season. With all of the activity still going on in HTGTV, we may not know until then.

No More Gina Gershon Each Week? That Hardly Seems Fair. Not Fair At All.

Nothing lasts forever, especially if it’s a television show enjoyed by many. After five seasons on HTGTV, Kris Greet has announced that he will not be bringing Badge of Justice back to Flip Brothers Television. The New York-based original is definitely pulled, though the Las Vegas spin-off is still a possible go.

“I’ll be tying up all the loose ends in a film,” stated the KG Productions head. “I’m having a hard time finding the stories for it, but I’m going to close them all up with one film. There may even be a sequel if the film does well. I think the Las Vegas will probably go another season, but it won’t be the upcoming season. I’ve got a few stories in mind for that one already.”

What does KG have planned to fill the void? Besides his Green Lantern series…

“…Possibly another show, but I gotta talk to Ritchie” Kris commented.

The next set of HTG Television begins in April.

With all of the celebrities in HTG Hollywood and so few movie and television projects to go around, some talents are more than pleased to get work… any work. The talents being selected for the upcoming third installment of The Film Protectors are ecstatic to be working again.

“Frito Chilito lives!” shouted an excited Jason Lee when he heard of the new project. “I haven’t been getting the work that I’ve wanted to get. Returning to The Film Protectors is like returning home. I can hardly wait!”

Centered on a group in charge of halthing the production of bad films, the first two movies in the series appeared in 2005 and 2006. Will the material be able to remain fresh in 2009?

“Definitely” stated a representative of Baseball Mogul Productions. “Bad films, sadly, continue to be made. Frito and company will do their best to put an end to it.”

The so-far untitled Film Protectors 3 is in pre-production and not scheduled.

“It would be a great holiday picture” conclued the BM rep.
