This Year I Hope They Give Away Yodas Filled With Sugar Free Chocolate
Nominees for the next HTG Awards have been posted, with Checkmate’s (Bishop) Ballad of Mike Roulette and Miracle Pictures’ (JGraham) Obsession leading the pack of nominated films. Although vote counter Ritchie Steven declared that there were “some real surprises,” most nom votes were what was expected. Non-film nominations include for journalists RS of the Hollywood Times, Lucian for varied reporting and the new Musings, plus our own EIC Marlowe for this news source.
“I get very few votes otherwise” stated the Happ editor, “so I’m always thrilled to get that one.”
Final voting will commence soon, with an awards ceremony to be held some time after. Dates will be announced soon.
UPDATE: You can vote now, through three links on the same post (linked above). Voting will end at the end of the day on 2/12/09. The date for the awards ceremony has yet to be determined. Rumor has it that, in order to speed the event along, a new format might be given. No speeches? Sexy women in bikinis handing the Yodas out? Hmm.
