Q Sends LHF News. It Has a Dog in It. Aww, How Cute!
Did you know that Keanu Reeves likes animals? Well, he does. Recently, while taking a break from shooting his new action/adventure flick Finding Atlantis, Mr. Reeves found a stray dog running around the HTG boardwalk. The dog, which was apparently abandoned by his owner, had survived on leftovers thrown away by the various nearby restaurants.
“That dog’s lucky,” said one frequent patron. “There’s a Chinese restaurant at the end of the boardwalk. Thank God he didn’t make it that far.”
Koco, who was adopted by Keanu after filming Finding Atlantis, is now living in luxury in Reeves’ home.
“He’s one spoiled brat of a dog now!” said one of the housekeepers working for Reeves. “Keanu spoils him with treats and rubs. It’s quite an amazing story that dog’s got” said another housekeeper.
“He’s probably doing that just because he feels sorry for the dog. I mean, I felt sorry for my dog a few moments before I went to the vet with him to get spayed” said a random man on the street.
Reports are confirming that Koco has been spayed by Keanu, but those treats still come by the dozen for this lucky dog. However, for a lot of strays, this lucky break never comes and most either die in the streets from starvation or die after being “put down” in a kennel.
After hearing about this miraculous story, The Humane Society agreed to pay for 10% of the production costs for Finding Atlantis. It is the first animal organization, since PETA (and TCW), to help fund a film (or a PPV).
Finding Atlantis comes out on October 24.
