Election 2008 Update

With only 18 votes cast so far in the mayor primary election, event admin Marlowe is remaining opptimistic for a larger turnout.

“I haven’t cast my vote yet,” Marlowe volunteered. “And there’s always a last-minute surge at the booths. The last day isn’t until Sunday, so we’ve got plenty of time left. I just hope everyone can take advantage of this opportunity to choose the leader of HTG Hollywood for 2009. Besides, everyone who votes gets a free DVD for his HTG film library. How sweet is that?”

With seven candidates to choose from, mudslinging has calmed in recent days.

“I’m all for the high road,” continued Marlowe. “I’m waiting for the weekend to make sure that I cast my ballot for the person whom I believe is best for the position. It’s going to take me a lot of convincing.”

When asked for the name of the current vote leader, Marlowe remained mum.

“Sorry, but that’s a secret that will be revealed when it’s all done. I will say, however, that each candidate has received a vote, so that’s a plus for each manager.”

Voting will run through the end of Sunday. See the message board for details.
