Quantum Has More News About Lake Hope Activities. He’s Still a Busy Fellow. Apparently Too Busy to Send Me a Thank You For the Cool Q-Ball Nickname. The Tragedy!

Lake Hope Features and TLM Productions (Goose) have inked a six picture deal that gives LHF the exclusive rights to some of TLM’s past productions. The deal was signed a couple of months ago. but news has just begun to surface.

“We’re incredibly excited about this opportinity,” said Quantum, LHF studio operator. “We’re excited about each film.”

The first of the movies will be Oildale, the romantic dramedy that’s set for August 1st. (See article below.) “Filming is going great” commented producer Goose. “I’m excited for these releases.”

The second film will be Taking Back the Day. The actioneer is set to star Gerard Butler and will be helmed by Renny Harlin. “We’re going to start filming in mid-July, just after we wrap Epidemic” said Quantum.

“There’s gonna be a nice cast for TBTD” said Goose, who was overly excited about the action film. However, no word on whether the action flick will be arthouse or not has been released, with Quantum stating “We’ve got our lips sealed.” Does that mean an action backlot purchase is in the works?

The third film will likely be The Homecoming Dance. The TLM comedy follows a businessman (Brendan Fraser) as he returns to his hometown to win back the girl he should have married. News broke about the film after Brendan left the Starz to shoot the flick. “Filming is underway” said Quantum. “We don’t have a set date just yet… we’re looking at possibilites right now.” Although rumor has it that THD will be released arthouse, no official information has been given.

The fourth film will probably be A Simple Misunderstanding, another comedy. The film’s synopsis is being kept under wraps for now. However, Quantum did mention that he desires to have the film out by October.

The fifth probable film will be a romantic teen comedy titled “Pest & Andy go to Summer Camp.” Its plot is being kept a secret at this time, but Quantum let it slip that the film could be out by the end of the year. LHF has a full schedule for the meantime.

The final film is another actioneer. But, unlike TBTD, it will be the biggest blockbuster to come from Lake Hope Features. Supposedly based on a franchise, the film’s synopsis and cast are being kept private as well. “We’re in the middle of getting a cast in line” said Goose, who is excited about the upcoming project. “It’s probably going to be bigger then American Dreams” said Quantum, who looked a bit nervous as he drank from a glass of water on the press conference table.

However, with those projects in the works, Goose will likely have others fill gaps working with other studios. “I’m going to have a busy year” said Goose. “With a ton of projects in various stages of completion, who knows when they’ll be done. But what can be said is that they will all be completed at sometime, with scripts ready to go.”

Goose’s HTG debut, the Miracle Pictures release Someone to Play With, opens July 18th. Oildale releases August 1st, with Taking Back the Day on August 29th.

Wednesday, on the season premier of Atlantis, a star will die. Not just a guest star… one of the regular cast will be gone. Rogue Net didn’t want word leaking who the victim will be, so they signed the star in question for a full season. That meant paying their full salary for only one appearance, which certainly pleased the star.

“Perhaps we could have saved some money and not signed the new star,” said Rogue Net head Lucian, “but then word would have leaked on the Internet and spoiled the emotional impact of the scene. New fans won’t have much time to get to know the character in question, but should still realize the importance of this change.”

Lacking any big names, Atlantis has been more of an ensemble show. On the chopping block this week are Sasha Alexander, Bradley Cooper, Bernard Hill, Brian Goodman, Ron Rifkin, Daniel Sunjata, Bradley Whitford, Sophia Bush, Chris Daughtry, Josh Hutcherson, Saul Rubinek, Kate Walsh, Barbara Alyn Woods, Emily Van Camp and Chitwetel Ejoiofor.
