It’s Also Home of the World’s Largest Prairie Dog
Filming has wrapped on “Kansas”, the next release from mega-producer Bryan Bishop. The film concerns a group of mental patients who wander the state at a post-apocalyptic time. It features Matthew Trixie, Samuel L. Jackson, Bill Murray, Richard Dreyfuss, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Kathy Bates, Ben Foster and Bishop himself.
“I think he really enjoyed the work on this one,” remarked an assitant of Bishop’s from 10K Cases Productions. “It was nice to get out to some fresh air. Between scouting locations and shooting, we discovered some really nice scenery and met some nice folks. It’s a pity that the cast and crew had to get back to the coast for other endeavors.”
Rumors that producer Bishop had to get back to his Island of Terror as soon as possible to avoid litigation concerning the daughter of the mayor of Colby, Kansas have yet to be verified.
Bishop is hard at work on three more films:
Ghost Story, a horror film about a man with a special gift who uses it to combat the spirits that infest the most haunted building on Earth.
Step Off, a dance film starring Matthew Trixie and Mark Chua as street dancers.
Cherryboy, with no information available at this time.
Kansas, a Flip Brothers release, will be in theatres in an undetermined 4 to 6 weeks.
