What’s in Your Pockets? Bishop Edition

Prolific producer Bryan Bishop is preparing for his newest release, Until 5. The Judd Apatow feature centers around a group of friends and their adventure late one evening. It stars Apatow regulars Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd, Michael Cera, plus HTG resident Matthew Trixie.

Now, to the questions…

What are you working on?
Besides my Batman movie that I hope to have for December, I’m looking for a studio to release the last Days flick.

What’s the title?
The Ballad of Mike Roulette.

Who’s starring alongside Matthew McCounaghey?
Del Toro, Loken, Bledel, Liotta, Johanssen, Reno and others.

Have you found a director?
Not yet. I’m trying to pick a plotline. I wrote one draft, but it was 200 pages.

So you’re starting again from scratch?
Yeah.

Do you drink lite beer?
No, but I give it to the neighbor kid when he’s making too much noise and I’m sleeping late.

Engelbert Humperdink, Tom Jones or Robert Goulet?
Goulet.

Who invented the keyboard?
Christopher Sholes in 1868.

If a car leaves Little Rock, Arkansas going north at 60 miles per hour and a car leaves Gary, Indiana going south at 70 miles per hour, which one reaches East St. Louis first?
That’s a trick question. Not even those idiots from Little Rock and Gary are stupid enough to drive to East St. Louis.

What’s in your pockets right now?
Nothing. I’m typing this naked. But, if you want to get technical, my jeans are over in the corner with seventy-seven cents in change, the key to my locker at work and a small roll of kite string.

Thanks for your time. Good luck on your projects.
Extreme!

Carson Searches for Journalists, Actress Displays Flexibility

What’s Happening in HTG Town isn’t the only news source for HTG Hollywood. One of the others is The Carson Daily. Although time constraints have prohibited a lot of updates for that publication, Carson has recently announced that he is looking for journalists to help him get more stories to HTG citizens.

Hey there, Carson here and I am looking for the next hotter than hot journalist to write some articles for everyone’s favorite almost daily newsite. At the Daily we’re looking for news and articles on soundtracks, hot stories on relationships, news having to do with music, cartoons and other fun and hot stuff. If you have what it takes, you will be rewarded handsomely, like me.

Submit all articles to me through PM. I don’t use my e-mail account, that’s so last year.

(The staff at Happening, like other HTG news sources, also accepts news stories from outside journalists.)

Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt was so pleased with Carson’s search for new journalists that she tried to put both of her legs behind her head while standing.

“This worked much better the other night when I was in bed,” remarked the actress, now appearing in That Carnies Show.

Review Review Review Review Review

HTGTV hotshot Mac is “a little disappointed about the lack of reviews” for television shows recently. He has declared in a recent post on the forum that “all reviews done this week will be worth double the money.” With a return from the first break of Season 3, Mac is confident that this will do a lot of good.

“Maybe now, people will review,” Mac commented.

Producer Wheels Out Big Daddy For November

Blaxploitation is a type of film that popped up in Seventies when numerous movies were made that targeted African American audiences. Black actors were the main stars of blaxploitation films. They were the first to have soundtracks of funk and soul music. Civil rights groups criticized the movies for their use of stereotypes, but they filled a hot demand for a special kind of entertainment, and were immensely popular among black audiences. Perhaps the best known example of Blaxploitation is the movie Shaft with Richard Roundtree, featuring the iconic theme by Isaac Hayes.

And now Blaxploitation has arrived in HTG Hollywood. Thanks to producer Tyler Durden, a new “bad motherf***er” will be hitting HTG screens soon.

“Big Daddy Holmes & The Mystery of the Three Cocks, Two Asses and a Battering Ram” will be Tyler’s Crime/Action film opening in November. Directed by Spike Lee, the film so far has signed on Ving Rhames, Dave Chappelle, Dennis Hopper, Alyson Hannigan and Beyonce Knowles.

“Big Daddy Holmes is, basically, Sherlock Holmes as a blaxplotation movie,” commented Tyler on HTG Chat recently. It will star “Ving Rhames in the lead role and Dave Chappelle as his faithful retainer Watts.” Big Daddy Holmes will feature “a bevy of beautiful women for Ving to have his way with” and music from Isaac Hayes himself.

Until then, Tyler has co-production credit on At the Bottom of Everything, a Miracle Pictures release with fellow producer Matthew Trixie.

HTG Restaurant Updates Menu

Flip Brothers Pizza, a staple of HTG Hollywood diners, has recently updated their menu with 10 new items (talents from the talent listing). According to co-owner Ritchie Steven…

“Here at Flip Brothers Pizza you’ll get old style Italian food and of course our famous New York Style Pizza, the only place in Hollywood to get GOOD pizza. Not only that, but some big stars can be seen eating here, you never know, you just might bump into them! Give our food a try… join our family.”

Details on how to leave the restaurant with a “celebrity friend” can be read at the restaurant page (linked above). Flip Brothers also has a gift shop, which offers T-shirts from some of your favorite HTG films.

For a limited time, the music of Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman can be heard at the pizzeria.

The original pizzeria in New York City, founded in 1947

Co-operator PJ Flip is pleased with the new selection and has a lot to say to get people to come by for a visit.

“Hi.”

Just This and That? No Real News? No!!!

Miscellaneous news and thoughts from HTG Hollywood…

Despite being the producer and chief of the network displaying it, Lucian is surpised that his TCW wrestling show is in the top ten in the ratings.

Sweet Angel won’t be writing for HTG Television soon. “I’ve got a hard enough time keeping up with the film side of this game.”

Lucian Carter is a coffee addict. Ship of Fooles is pricing the franchise to 100% natural Columbian coffee.

Hand is critical of a possible sequel titled Eragon 2: Electric Boogaloo.

PJ Flip is brushing off his television series The Game, where HTG residents race their own vehicles for fame, glory and reward. He’s taking sign-ups on the message board.

Book reader Newman said “Just finished HeartSick by Chelsea Cain… thumbs up! Quite dark and disturbing. The main subplot was a bit predictable and unexciting, but the main character’s relationship with the serial killer he captured was the greatest cop/criminal connection since Clarice and Hannibal.”

Bryan Bishop has gone a week without being arrested.

Ritchie has placed some things up for auction here.
