What Will We See In Version 3?

Always evolving, huge additions are on their way to Hollywood the Game. These extras will be significant enough to warrant calling the game HTG V3. Details are vague at this point, but here are a list of some of the new things on their way to HTG:

Neighborhoods. The HTG map will expand with many more places to go. These locations include police stations, schools and an arcade. Each spot will have a different purpose. Many new home sites will be available as well, to make way for the increase in HTG Hollywood population.

Player Blogs. Space will be made availabe for players to express their thoughts, be them HTG related or not.

Arcade. An HTG arcade has been in the works for more months than stink glands on a family of skunks. Several games are currently being tested, including Tetris and Pac Man.

Studio Stores. Studios will be able to open stores to sell merchandise related to their products, such as T-shirts. Oh! I can hardly wait to have Pauly Shore Jizzmopper on my chest!

Office Additions. Different methods for owners of production offices will exist to save money on films. Editing bays, blue screens, mixing tables, etc. will cut a little cost off of the production of movies.

HTG Land. What exactly will it be? Who knows for sure. Rumor has it that an amusement park with HTG-related rides and attractions will be a part of one of the new HTG neighborhoods.

Creative Contests and Trivia Games. More contests like the current Casablanca poster redesign will surface, as well as movie/game related trivia. A new point system is in the works that will allow an easier rewarding and cashing in for the players and admins.

What Else? You can never tell. Version 3 of HTG will be a significant undertaking. Some of the additions and changes will have to come over time. But each is aimed at making Hollywood the Game a more rewarding experience for the HTG citizens. A date for the release of HTG V3 has not been set yet.

Times Editor in Decision Quandry

A continuing feature of the HTG Times, the polls displayed on the right side of the news source has questioned the HTG citizens on a number of issues. These include “Which proposed game improvement are you most looking forward to?” and more recently “What movie should win Best Picture?” According to the poll, those who participated thought that the KrisGreet/Flip Brothers film The Squad should win the HTG Award for Best Picture.

“That’s cool,” remarked a pleasant KG after he heard the news. “It’s great to know some people enjoyed it.”

The subject of the new poll, however, was not an easy one to determine by HTG Times editor Alex Love (mg102). When asking in HTG Chat, it was suggested that a non-HTG related subject be attempted, such as favorite flavor of ice cream.

“I like that idea,” responded Love. “Not necissarily ice cream flaovrs, but something non-HTG related.”

However, narrowing down the subject of the poll still seemed to be out of the editor’s grasp. “Ask what people’s favorite colored wine gum is” was one new suggestion, but the idea was vetoed by Love.

“I don’t know anything about wine colored gum” confessed the editor.

Stay tuned to the HTG Times to see what the subject of the new poll will be.

Hollywood Meets HTG Hollywood on Website

Although not known to the countless people responsible for real world Hollywood entertainment, HTG celebrity Chris Harmer gets more than his share of recognition in Hollywood the Game. Having produced and starred in HTG movies and a pair of HTG television series, the productive Harmer is now the subject of entertainment on the website YTMND. According to online encyclopedia Wikipedia:

“YTMND, an acronym for “You’re The Man Now, Dog!”, is a website community that centers around the creation of YTMNDs, which are pages featuring a juxtaposition of a single image, optionally animated or tiled, along with large zooming text and a looping sound file. YTMND is also the general term used to describe any such site.”

Located here, the new YTMND features Harmer in an activity with actor Ray Liotta. To fans of Chris Harmer the page is a humorous homage to the young man. To those not acquainted with him, perhaps readings of The Good, The Bad and The Harmer or The Adventures of Robin Hood would help cement Harmer’s skills into their minds.

Ray Liotta will be starring in the Lucian Carter-produced crime film Square Deal. It is slated for a February 23 release from Miracle Pictures.

HTG Yacht Club Opens

After nearly two years of construction woes and cutting through miles of city red tape, Commodore Pete of the HTG Yacht Club has announced that HTG Hollywood’s newest luxury is open. The club provides a small selection of seagoing vessels that double as living quarters and slips to hold the boats. There is also a clubhouse where Commodore Pete hopes to hold special events for HTG Yacht Club members only.

“Come on down to the shore just west of downtown and see what your hard-earned dollars can get you,” said the commodore at the recent ribbon cutting. “It’s a bit expensive to be here, but we expect only the cream of HTG Hollywood. If you have the financing, feel free to come by for a visit.”
