Stephen Sommers Presents, which formerly aired at Film Mogul TV has inked a deal to rerun on CTT. But the deal wasn’t cheap. The 6-episode series features a $63 million dollar budget! With veteran director Stephen Sommers attached to do introductions for each episode the ensemble Sci –fi series features appearances by: Dame Judi Dench, Audrey Tatou, Kenneth Branagh, Laurence Fishburn, Oded Fehr, William Fitchner Stephen Dorff and veteran actor Christopher Plummer. But without the benefit of buzz voting will the series be able to show a profit?

Press Release: Can the Dead Drive

By Lucian Carter

Producer Lucian is a very busy boy these days making deals left right and center. He just signed a deal to promote the 2002 Thunderbird in his new film Zombies Versus Ninjas! Coming from Pedroscope July 21st.

“The 2002 Thunderbird is perfect for our film,. Sleek, sporty and packing plenty of power for when you need to run down a zombie or outrun a speedy ninja!” says producer Lucian “The car was also the perfect fit for Christopher Plummer’s philanthropist character Paul Wellington.”

July 21st is a rough release day with the Batman Begins sequel set to open that day but Lucian is unconcerned “We’ve made some good sponsorship deals on this film, not just with the Thunderbird but also with the National Enquirer. We are hoping for a modest return as a result and we’re happy to be counter programming to the Bat. It’s the Thunderbird versus the Batmobile, bring it on.”

Lucian does admit to owning a copy of the 1966 Batman film in his film library. “Hey I’m not saying don’t see the Batman movie, I’m saying see two movies!”

On July 21st It’s zombies Versus Ninjas versus Batman!

(Note this award satisfies the usage of the Zombie Movie and Car Award)

Auction Hoax Uncovered

By Buzz

The recent exit of an HTG citizen to less-than-greener pastures has prompted authorities to place all of his items up for auction to the HTG public. The process has been a smooth one; many fine bargains have been picked up by a handful of people.

The final auction will be the sale of the mansion itself. The ultimate in HTG homes, a mansion can hold almost anything your heart desires. However, one HTG resident has begun rumors that the auction will not take place.

“Look at this, suckers!” remarked Teufel, as he showed others in HTG Chat the following picture:

“It’s a hoax!” proclaimed Marlowe, who is administrating the auction. “I just happen to know that the mansion wouldn’t burn that quickly!”

When asked to explain that comment, the middle-aged HTGer went silent.

Matt Trixie, resident hippie and studio chief of Bulletproof Pictures, seemed unphased.

“If that’s the mansion and it’s on fire, I had nothing to do with it. I happen to know that my stoner roommates have my lighter in the front room.”

Stay tuned to the auction section of the game to see if the mansion is truly ablaze or if it will go on sale.

Must See List

By Ritchie “The Pit” Steven

Marlowe came into Club Chat and asked very abruptly, “What’s your most anticipated film that’s coming soon to HTG theaters?” He went on to say that “What’s Happening in HTG Town”, a HTG Store sanctioned magazine, would be paying big bucks for producers‘ answers to that very question. To play fair and keep this from turning into a studio plug, I have not included any Flip Brother’s Studio films in this short list of my most anticipated upcoming films (no matter how much I’m looking forward to particular films). This list has two films that are very different, one thriller by a veteran producer and an animation by a unknown.

The first film is the Tom Cruise United Filmworks Inc. vehicle, “Wireless,” from the returning Blacksmith Pictures. Blacksmith is easily one of the best writers I have crossed paths with online and I know how long he’s been working on this script and fine tuning it. MC48’s advertising of the film has been low key, seceratitive and spot on in my opinion. Sometimes, the less you show, the more I can’t wait to find out just what is going on. I know small tidbits of the plot and three of the total cast members. What could be better than solving this mystery on May 5th?

The next film on my list might surprise a few people. It’s a Sega Genesis video game adaptation! The team of Izzy, the writer, Brad Bird, the director, DomMVP, the creative artist and 21st Century Cat Pictures, the studio, is bringing the first in (maybe?) many Sonic the Hedgehog films. I don’t know about you, but I was always a Genesis guy and Sonic, well, he was Genesis! Brad Bird is the PERFECT choice for director and I know I’ll have no problem visualizing this project. And let’s talk a little about the all-star voice cast; Johnny Depp (Sonic), John Hurt (Robotnik), and Hugh Jackman (Knuckles), along with Tommy Lee Jones and Tobey MacGuire! I don’t know if those were Izzy or Dom’s choices, but who ever made them did damn good!

The big question here will be the writer, Izzy. Does he have what it takes to bring this video game with two cartoon spin off series to the big screen? I have no idea, but I can say that Dom has been non-stop supportive of this film and has stated on multiple occasions that the script is one of the best he has read. I usually would just believe that it’s a studio head hyping a future release, but with Dom, you know its genuine and I’m not only going to trust his word, but I’m going to go see this film right when it comes out in late June.
