We’re Moving!

After four years and nine months at this location, it’s been officially decided to move HTG’s number one news source to another spot: New Happening Location. We’ve been using that new blog for the last week and have found it easier to use, especially with pictures. There are more bells and whistles, too, such as polls. The new site’s poll about moving met with positive result… 9 to move, 2 not to move and 2 neutral.

Yes, drop down menus will be changed on the HTG site, but that will take a little time. Until then, you can use the link to the upper right or by bookmarking the new blog.

This site will remain open as an archive of older articles.

Thanks much for the support of Happening. Feel free to contribute whatever you feel is worthy.

Well Look What We Have Here

As I was hoping, Blogsome got their database problem figured out. This site is up and running again. Or at least the possibility exists. So the question is…

Do we stay on this site or the new one?

Happening has existed on this site for 4 years and 9 months. That’s one month less in age than HTG itself. It has served us well. But is it time to move on? The new location has a couple more bells and whistles. It’s run by those folks at Google. They’re a little more secure than an Irish company with servers across the ocean who break down more often. And you can’t contact them if you have a problem. The new guys can be reached.

On the new site we can add polls, pictures, videos and various other widgets. On the old site (this one), we can add a link list and that’s about it.

So what do you think? Comment below if you have any thoughts. And head over to the new site (location in article below) to vote on the current poll.

Possibility brewing at the moment: Keep this site as an archive and head over to the new site for new articles.

Thanks for your input and support. :)

Happening Moving?

We’re still experiencing problems with Blogsome. The news must go on, however. We’ve set up shop at this location. Whether the move is temporary or permanent is unknown. Wherever we end up, we’ll let you know. Thanks for your support.

I’m Back!

I was away for 2 1/2 days. Still catchin’ up. So why don’t I just post a pic of Mayor Fox or some other delightful babe? I dunno. But I’ll put that on my catch up list.

UPDATE: Still waiting for Blogsome to fix the Database Error problem. Apparently they had a server problem in England last night.

Actor Displeases Happening Editor, Avoids Car Bomb While EIC at His Office. He Has Witnesses, Honest, Officer.

Many people in the world, the staff of Happening included, are still saddened by the death of iconic actor David Carradine. Most of us know the circumstances behind the Kill Bill/Days Saga performer’s passing. And apparently so does Ashton Kutcher, who posted the following remark on his Twitter:

Remind me to never asphyxiate myself while masterbating in bangkok. It just confused people.

Why the Peter Frampton did Kutcher write such an insulting thing? Happening EIC Marlowe, behind the HTG initiative to get David Carradine memorial items into the homes of HTG residents, was not pleased when he heard.

“I might have to destroy my Dude, Where’s My Car? DVDs… all five of them. Well, maybe I can keep them for Seann William Scott’s sake. But Kutcher is off my Christmas card list!”

Marlowe was so unhappy that he created a new award to reflect it. But where did he put the award? With more than one place to receive awards, it might take a little while for a lucky citizen to find it.

“Oh, I think it’ll be worth the look,” stated Marlowe. “The person finding it won’t be disappointed.”

I Don’t Drink Coffee Myself, But If I Had to Live Without My Slim Jims, I’d Go Absolutely Nuts. Snap Into It! Oh, Yeah!

Actor Steve Carell has grown so found of coffee that the beverage was not allowed on the set of his latest film, The Craig Feigner Story.

“Steve’s people issued a coffee ban at any area that he may pass through” explained a Four Tops Studio employee. “Steve’s so hooked on the bean that he’s unable to concentrate on his work after he downs five cups or so. His people monitored the set very carefully to make sure that not a drop of coffee could be found anywhere on or near the set. Even the smell would distract Steve.”

Fortunately for fellow actors and crew members, breaks were extended so that they could venture away from the set to get coffee if needed.

“I can’t get going without two or three cups” mentioned a crew member. “Maybe there’s something to what they say about this stuff being addicted. I couldn’t go cold turkey like Steve did.”

The Craig Feigner Story centers on the new owner of a rundown arthouse movie studio. The Four Tops Studio feature will be released on June 19th.

With the announcement of Tour Film’s video game adaptation Left 4 Dead, you’d think that producer Phaethon0017 would at least have the class to hold off on any zombie related rumblings for a fortnight. But you’d be wrong. Undead wrong. From the artist who brought you legendary Beibo Suncloud theater poster, SimonM7, comes his and Phaethon’s shared vision of nocturnal necrotic shrubbery, Plants vs. Zombies. The film is set to release in theaters June 26th by Miracle Pictures. For a sneak preview, check out the latest episode of Hollywood The Pit here.

Christina Applegete impressed her producer so much during her work on the film Amateurfall that she’s inked a deal to star in a short mockumentary. Christina is the only female character in the testosterone-filled baseball comedy, playing Jason Lee’s love interest. But TLM Head Goose liked her performance so much that he immediately offered her the title role as Candace Kane in The Kane Files: 10 Digits.

“I’m very excited to be working soon after a project. Usually it takes a while before another role comes along,” Applegate said.

Others signed on to the short are Rosalyn Sanchez, Benjamin Bratt, Kirstie Ally and Lindsay Lohan. It is scheduled for release on August 7.

“We’re hoping to make this a series of short mockumentaries under the Kane Files brand” Goose added.

Meanwhile, Goose has been busy. Pest & Andy Go To Summer Camp has just left theaters, while he has back to back releases in July. Brothers opens July 12 with Bulletproof/Avatar Studios and AmateurBall opens July 19 with Lake Hope Features.

A FOX Exclusive!
After some hot and heavy bidding, FOX has secured the exclusive broadcast rights to your movie. Once the film leaves theaters, they?ll cut you a check for a cool $35 million dollars. This award can be used on a movie that has previously been released and is not currently in the multiplex when this award was won. NOTE: This money is a bonus and does not count towards the box office total of the film. You must write a press release about this to get the cash

Fox has obtained the exclusive broadcast rights to air Pedro’s canine-centered film Dog Gone Shorts. Fox is happy to secure the rights to this movie, proclaiming that 43% of the homes that tune into fox have dogs, so this movie is sure to be popular among its viewers. Pedro of Baseball Mogul Productions just hopes they don’t cut down the swearing too much.

“I realize that it’s network television,” remarked the prolific producer, “but the spicy language is a vital part of the story.”

A representative from Fox and Amy the Dog from Baseball Mogul Productions recently had a meeting to negotiate the deal. Pedro will get tons of money and Amy gets lots of lobster. It’s a good deal all around, says insiders close to the deal.
